Above the palms are where

I sit up high and stare, it's true

That the birds live in a better point of view

But when I'm up this high

I tend to question what I do

I complicate dilemmas when I can't choose

Even if it ain't really good for me

I pour all my energy into you

Up in the trees are where

The scene reveals the simple truth

Things are obvious when ya got the upper view

A quiet boulevard

Catches me off guard

It's due

To all the sound space that I'm not used to

It's like I finally can breathe from my brain tube

Enough oxygen available for us 2/too

Maybe our energy can fuse into one fuse

But it also gives me time to overthink

Sometimes I can't do

The things I wanna do for you

And other people too

But I want you to know

That I try to do

Things I think can do some sort of good for you

And I know you don't need

All of this from me

Needless to say you're fine without the sort of thing

But it's something I can do

To show I wanna do

Something that could be kinda good for you
