Natural Light (featuring B.R.Leeson)
This is round 1 of coffee
A routine ritual like my dad, like my best friend
But the methods are different
I used to B-line to my balcony
But now I sit up on my front room window ledge
I find that the sun hits differently
‘Cause there’s nothin like natural light
There’s nothin like the glimpse of a sunray or 2 comin through
Hittin you on your left side
There’s nothin like natural light
Nothin like the run down a mountain
As the sunshine’s countin down (the) time
That it faces the east side
What’s my one-meal-a-day gonna be?
Guess I need a little bit more than just the sun
Than just some vitamin D
Need a little bit more inside of me
Gotta step away from the vitamin C
Really sorin’ up my gums and my tongue and the tips of my teeth
Gotta be somethin that’s a little less citrusy
But there’s nothin like natural light
There’s nothin like the glimpse of a sunray or 2 comin through
Hittin you on your right side
Nothin like natural light
Nothin like runnin down the side of a mountain
As the sunshine’s countin down time on the east side
